Micah - "Who is Like Jehovah"

Micah – who is like Jehovah
  • the name “Micah,” is a derivation of Michael, the archangel, meaning “who is like unto God.”
  • Micah was a contemporary of Isaiah, Hosea and Amos – that is, he lived when they did

Key verse:
and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God (6.8)
Why should we do as required in 6.8? Because it pleases the Lord.
See next verse; (7.18, 19)
Who is a God like unto thee,
  1. that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage?
  2. he retaineth not his anger for ever, because
  3. he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again,
  4. he will have compassion upon us;
